Holiday Tablescape at Twilight: Magnolia Branches + Copper Accents

This evening I created and captured our holiday tablescape at twilight with magnolia branches plus copper accents. Often times I feel I am more efficient with my content if I just snap with my phone and share it so I will be starting to do that more often here on the blog. This will eliminate delays from when I share on IG so you have access to all my tips and source info faster! This is one of two tablescapes I’ll be sharing – stay tuned for a daytime shot with some vibrant and beautiful flowers & a recipe coming soon!

Holiday Tablescape at Twilight

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than having friends or family over during the evening twilight hours. Dim your pendants and/or chandeliers and add some twinkle lights. I found some twinkle lights with pine cones and they are just darling! You can tuck the battery back in between the branches, greenery or flowers to “hide it”. Add some pretty votives with candles for that extra glow. Your guests will really enjoy those extra cozy, festive touches 🙂

Magnolia Branches

An easy way to assemble a tablescape is to add fresh or faux greenery. Last year I created a eucalyptus garland – you can read about it here and make your own with my tips. This year I went with magnolia branches because I’ve always loved them and we have several magnolia trees in our yard. They were also in our wedding centerpieces 11 years ago and they are still my favorite! The brown and green is so gorgeous and can easily be used beyond Thanksgiving. Clip a few, buy them wholesale at a flower market or snag a few faux options. I’ve included several very realistic faux options for you below.

Natural Textures

I’m so excited about these beautiful chargers that have such a pretty natural texture to them. They are a new edition to my collection of tablescape items and I will for sure use them again – they are so versatile and go with everything! Instead of a runner you can opt for chargers that give that layered textured feel.

Holiday Glow with Copper Accents

I’ve adored copper for a couple of years now. I shared this post 2 years ago when I decorated with it in my last kitchen – you can find that post here (it’s one of my most popular posts!). I snagged these pretty copper votives and added my copper mugs to the mix because I wanted that extra warm glow for the holidays. You can see our tree glowing in the background sans decorations (they are coming soon). The copper accents match perfectly with the warmth of the brown and green magnolia branches.

Tablescape Tips:

  • Invest in items that you can re-use throughout the year like white napkins & white dishes
  • Keep extra ribbon on hand (from packaging and other items) that you can use for tying your napkins or silverware for your tablescape
  • Keep votives & twinkle lights on hand for that extra cozy factor
  • Save money by clipping greenery from your yard or go with 1 center arrangement of flowers or greenery for a big impact
  • Don’t stress if your napkins have a slight wrinkle or tablescape doesn’t feel “perfect” – it doesn’t have to be! You’re guests will love any amount of effort you put into your tablescape and most certainly notice and enjoy it!

I hope I’ve inspired you to add some pretty magnolia branches and copper accents to your next tablescape and give it that extra cozy feel with twinkle lights at twilight! To see last year’s tablescape head here!

Thanks as always for stopping by,
