It was only natural to partner with Room & Board again since we love the quality and family friendly features of their furniture and their customer service is top notch! Also with family over and friends visiting this holiday season it was the perfect time to finally update and complete our living room space.

But first a little background: our living room has been through quite the transformation since we renovated our fixer upper 2 years ago. We recently updated the fireplace brick painting it white, added our DIY mantel and barn doors, new window coverings and crown molding. I’ve been slowly replacing furniture we brought from our last home and also recognizing what furniture items are truly essential based on how we live and entertain.

During the holidays our living room is a space to gather around the fire and the tree with its glowing lights. Everyone gets super cozy and it’s the perfect spot to unwind and relax.

I realized that what we really needed in our living room was a quality chair for the corner area near our fireplace and an ottoman to put our feet up. The color stole my heart but also because it’s family and dog friendly and has performance and fade resistant fabric features. I love the beautiful in stock fabric option because you can upgrade any chair just in time for guests to arrive for the holidays! I’ve had my eye on this beauty for awhile. That gorgeous portofino cognac leather is so soft and perfect for resting your feet on. I love that this leather will develop its own unique character over time. The graphite metal legs add warmth and a modern feel.
