Fancy Puppy Birthday Slumber Party

Today I’m sharing all the details of our fancy puppy birthday slumber party. If you are looking for cute puppy themed birthday items and slumber party ideas – I’ve got you covered!

Our Fancy Puppy {Mavis}

Who doesn’t love puppies?! Lover of all things puppies and doggies we chose this cute fancy puppy slumber party theme because after all this is our first year with our new puppy Mavis. It was a perfect theme that my sweet birthday girl requested. This is Mavis being extra fancy and showing off for you with her big happy puppy smile 🙂

Fancy Puppy Birthday Party Decorations

Looking for a more elevated puppy theme I headed to Etsy. While searching I found adorable paw print balloons, fancy puppy plates and napkins that helped create and build on our fancy puppy theme.

Adding a gold happy birthday banner and balloons were simple touches that went along way without spending a fortune! The gold added a {fancy factor} to our decorations.

Even our floating shelves got a dose of fancy puppy with this cute doggie print from Minted, you can find it here and also linked below.

Fancy Puppy Birthday Slumber Party Fun

My oldest was begging me for a slumber party to accompany the puppy theme. While I had the puppy theme down the slumber part – not so much!

As a family we decided that sleepovers would be a {no} for us – whether it be hosting one or attending one. So instead we chose to host a slumber party in the evening without the actual sleeping over.

We hosted the slumber birthday party on a Friday evening from 5pm-9pm. Everyone came dressed in their favorite pj’s and slumber party outfits, brought their cozy blankets and pillows for slumber party fun without the actual sleeping over part.

The girls had a blast, our playhouse was a big hit, we ordered pizza, and I made “puppy mix” that I’ll share in an upcoming post. Instead of goody bags I bought this cute diy dream catcher craft for everyone (the girls were having too much fun to sit down and make it). We decided to send the craft home for them to work on this summer.

Presents were opened and the girls watched a puppy themed movie. Then it was time to sing happy birthday and enjoy ice cream birthday puppy cake.

All the fun ended promptly at 9pm – the parents and grandparents arrived for pick-up and we said our thank you’s and goodbyes.

Hosting a slumber party with 11 girls is definitely not for the faint of heart! Have wine on hand for when the party is over – trust me you will need it – lol!

Grateful to have my amazing mama and sweet girlfriend there to help (who btw I owe dinner & wine 🙂 Hoping to share my lessons learned and tips in another post soon!

Overall the fancy puppy slumber birthday party was a BIG success!! I know my girls appreciated everything I did to make it fun for them. Their sweet hugs and thank you’s made all the work worthwhile!

This snap of my girls the next morning makes me smile. Even though they stayed up past their normal bedtime they were well rested and not cranky from having a sleepover – a big YAY to that! What mama doesn’t love that?!

Have you hosted a slumber party without the slumber 0r a puppy themed party? Would love to know!!
