Tips for Decorating Your Home with Handmade Signs

Today I’m sharing my tips for decorating your home with handmade signs. I am so excited to share my friend Amanda from Dwell605 with you – she is the talent behind this gorgeous handmade {HOME} sign that was featured recently in one of my favorite magazines! I thought it would be fun to share my tips on how you can incorporate one of her handmade signs into your home!

Tip #1: Choose a Sign that Will Make a Big Impact

Go big or go home some people say! I say go big with your handmade sign! Handmade signs that are larger and substantial make a big impact in your home – in a good way! I also love the oversized lettering of this gorgeous {HOME} sign and the impact it makes.

Tip #2: Hang Your Handmade Sign to Create a Focal Point

Instead of staring at a blank white wall you can add character and personality with a handmade sign.

Our dining room desperately needed a focal point. Our new handmade sign provides the perfect focal point for this space.

Tip #3: Choose a Handmade Sign that Blends Seamlessly with Your Decor

I love the wood tones of the frame and black and white lettering. If you’ve been reading my blog or following along on IG for awhile you know that I’m a big fan of this combo. Anything with white + black + wood tones and I’m in!

Tip #4: Choose a Sign that Has Meaning to You

For me {HOME} is everything – it’s where our hearts are and memories are made. This handmade sign couldn’t be more fitting and perfect for the love I have for our {HOME}.

I hope my tips have been helpful and that I’ve inspired you to add a handmade sign to your home! Thank you again Amanda for the honor of featuring and displaying your gorgeous handmade sign in my home! For Amanda’s Etsy shop head here & here new blog head here. And guess what?!
