Back to School Prep: Pantry Organization
*This post is sponsored by Walmart, all opinions my own.
Can you believe my kids are already back to school?! I feel like I blinked and summer was already coming to an end for us. We have year round school which we love – it means 7.5 weeks for summer and more breaks throughout the school year which is great for fall trips and extra time off during spring break!
Back to School Prep + Pantry Organization
I’ve been on a mission to get our pantry in order so the girls can easily grab all the snacks and essentials for making a healthy school lunch! I’m so excited to collaborate with Walmart on this post and feature all of the amazing organization items they recently added and launched with The Home Edit!
Walmart is my go-to for home decor items to organization and everything in between. I’ve rounded up some amazing finds for you so that you can prep for back to school and be ready for the 1st day! Now let’s get those pantries organized!
Pantry Organizing 101
Often the thought of organizing any space specifically a pantry can be overwhelming! I totally have been there and sometimes need a little push or nudge to just get it done! Prepping for back to school is that nudge for me because I want my girls to be able to find everything easily! Having a organized approach is key! Using bins that allow you to group like items, reducing clutter and using labels can really make all the difference! Having a system in place helps you to be way more efficient with your time.
Container Choice Matters!
What I love about the Home Edit’s exclusive line with Walmart is that every bin and container is clear so you can easily see what is inside. The lids of the containers snap tightly, keeping food fresh and the labels help identify everything and really elevate the look.
Back to School Prep + Organizing Tips
- Create a Grab n Go Bin: Use a large bin & label it {grab and go} for items like chips and snacks that come in small bags. They can be stored upright and easily identified for kids to grab for school lunches or when they are headed out the door!
- Group + store items in your pantry according to your daily needs: I created a breakfast area, cans/cooking area, storage bin with all different types of spreads (peanut butter, sun butter, etc.). This is a time saver when trying to find things and also keeps everything contained and organized.
- Remove anything in your pantry that doesn’t serve a purpose: I had been storing random papers and craft items that were taking up valuable space and making it feel cluttered. They didn’t serve a purpose in our pantry and were getting lost amongst the other items.
Shop everything I used to organize our pantry and prep for back to school!
Thanks for stopping by and happy organizing,
