Fall Home Tour with a Non-Traditional Color Palette
Fall Family Room
This pretty autumn pillow, plaid throw, cream and gold pumpkin, and pretty mums give my little white table a fresh and inviting look for fall.
Last year I incorporated orange tones into my home but this year I wanted to try something different. I wanted to create a color palette that wasn’t filled with the typical and traditional fall colors. I created my fall color scheme using neutrals like grey, tan, cream, and black with more vibrant shades of burgundy and blue.
I used a pretty orchid, my fall DIY letters, wooden, and burlap pumpkins for my mantel. I took my vintage crate and turned it upside down so I could use it for my pumpkins and plaid blanket.
Even my built-in shelves above the TV have a little touch of fall.
The shades of burgundy throughout provide an instant warmth and pop of color. My new gardenia plant is looking green and pretty. I can’t wait for it to bloom!
I added this cute black and gold staghead and grey pillows that have a knitted look for texture. Mini white pumpkins and olive branches are simple touches that bring nature indoors.
Fall Entryway
One of my favorite new pillows is this grey and white plaid flannel pillow. The talented Sky from Her Creative Cottage is the maker of this soft, cozy pillow. It provides such a simple yet inviting addition to our entry bench. I also added a cream knit throw and grey pumpkin to our little side table.
Fall Dining Room
I added grey knit pillow covers to our chairs in our dining room for extra coziness. My wooden tray is filled with a simple centerpiece using burlap pumpkins and dried eucalyptus.
I added a beautiful white and gold lettered calendar and a “hello fall” chalkboard sign (so simple & easy to make) to our shelves. The pumpkins were painted with grey chalk paint. You can also see more of my dining room in this post where I share how to create a fall tablescape for under $50.
Fall Kitchen
I kept it super simple in the kitchen with a cute silver pumpkin. I recently added this pretty floral rug that incorporates all of my favorite colors and happens to compliment my fall color palette just perfectly!
I added pretty green mums in a silver metallic vase and these ripe and delicious peaches add a pretty pop of color.
I hope you have enjoyed my fall home tour with a non-traditional color palette! I hope I have inspired you to reach beyond the typical and traditional fall color schemes. For more inspiration check out my amazingly talented friends below and their gorgeous homes decorated for fall!
