Romantic Home Date Night + Valentine’s Day Tablescape
Happy Friday everyone. Today I’m sharing something fun for Valentine’s Day – romantic home date night + Valentine’s tablescape. For those who feel going out for Valentine’s day is overrated – raise a hand?! Since my birthday is a few days before Valentine’s Day we’ve always had to work around making reservations for dinner because so many couples go out to dinner to celebrate. What if I told you that’s not necessary? That you could save money and have a romantic date at home? I’m sharing some inspiration for you to create the perfect romantic home date night since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.

Tablescape for 2
I love creating tablescapes and this one was so fun to put together since it is only for 2 people! I always advocate for shopping your home before heading to the store to buy more stuff! The only items I purchased recently for this tablescape was the blush pink runner (I can re-use for other tablescapes) and those pretty gold votive holders from IKEA.
Add Fresh Flowers
When you think of Valentine’s Day most people think of red and pink roses. However during Valentine’s Day roses can get a little pricey. Save your money and opt for a different flower instead. I chose these pretty coral pink tulips. They add the perfect pop of color and were only $10 for one bouquet. I have two here but one works just fine!
Dress up your Tablescape
Grab some pretty placements, plates and napkins. I tied our napkins with this pretty rose gold satin ribbon. I used our gold silverware to coordinate with all the brass and gold accents. It adds to the ambiance. Our wine stopper is engraved with the letter “L” and makes such a great Valentine’s gift.
Create Ambiance & Turn on the Romance
Dim the lights, make a fire and light some candles. Turn on your favorite playlist. Our favorite speaker can be found here. It has the best sound. Simple decorating like my heart garland adds a little Valentine’s Day flair without being overwhelming. You have now created the mood for the evening – sooo romantic!
Have I inspired you to stay at home for Valentine’s Day? Send the kids to grandma’s or get a babysitter that can take them out for pizza for the evening. Or better yet, get them to to bed early and enjoy a late night dinner in peace in quiet! Here are some recipes you can try – by heading here and here. I’ll be sharing another one I know you’ll love very soon so don’t forget to subscribe.
