Warm + Colorful Thanksgiving Tablescape: Marigolds, Persimmons, Copper & Charcuterie Boards

Today I’m sharing our warm + colorful Thanksgiving tablescape with marigolds, persimmons, copper and charcuterie boards. If you have been following along for awhile you know that I’m a huge fan of neutral decor – black, white + warm woods. Yet I love adding pops of color and this year I’ve been embracing color more than ever with my designs and decor. Along with this warm and colorful Thanksgiving tablescape I’m including an easy recipe for mini charcuterie boards that you can make quickly for friends and family to enjoy for the upcoming holidays.

Warm & Colorful Marigolds in Copper Canisters

When I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Bouqs company I was so excited! Their flower arrangements are gorgeous and I wanted to select one that packed a colorful punch. The arrangement I chose includes flowers that represent all the colors of fall and Thanksgiving wrapped into a beautiful bouquet. My arrangement is called the {Pumpkin Patch} with marigolds and tulips taking center stage. I love marigolds and their pretty and vibrant shades of orange and yellow. The orange tulips add an unexpected twist to a fall flower arrangement.

When choosing the vase/container for these pretty flowers I decided to look beyond my go-to white vase collection. It’s no secret that I own several white vases – I may have a small obsession with them – lol! But I didn’t want to grab my typical white vases for this tablescape. While I knew they would look great I had a different look and idea in mind. The other evening while finishing dishes in the kitchen I glanced over at my copper canisters sitting on my counter and I wondered…{wouldn’t my copper canisters beautiful paired with my flowers…I could I insert a smaller vase inside and use them for my vases for my colorful flower arrangements}.

So I gave it a try – the orange tones play off the copper and the result in my opinion is so warm, cozy and inviting. Sometimes it takes thinking outside the box, getting creative and using what you have in different ways to achieve a unique look.

Charcuterie Boards

My olivewood boards came out for another round this year. I used them last year in my tablescape that you can find here. They are the perfect way to serve a mini charcuterie board (which btw I could eat on the daily)! I’m including 4 different combos for you that will be an easy way to serve everyone’s favorite foods individually for the holidays. You can use a charcuterie board as an appetizer or for the first course of your meal. Think of it as an introduction to what’s to come or a fancier way of serving an appetizer.

Making a mini version allows you to customize to each guest or they can create their own by selecting the items they want from a larger charcuterie board. Either way you can’t go wrong with whatever you add to your board. My tip is to add a variety of salty/sweet, crunchy & smooth textures to balance everything! I’ve even included a kid-friendly option also so they don’t feel left out!

My go-to store for all the things charcuterie and so much more is Barons Market – for those not in California if you ever head out this way make sure you put it on your list and make a visit. For my local California readers and followers you probably already know how amazing Barons Market is! They have several locations throughout southern California and I often share on my IG stories my favorites items we love and cook with from Barons.

The staff at Barons are always helpful, kind and the shopping experience feels more personal. They also have unique items, local products and a variety of amazing fresh produce, olives and cheeses to choose from. One thing I always leave with is a bottle of Italian White Truffle Olive Oil. I use that olive oil for everything! Barons Market was so kind to provide the charcuterie items for this post – thank you Barons! I’ll be adding pictures of my favorites items on stories so stay tuned.

Persimmons

In addition to the beautiful flowers, copper canisters and yummy charcuterie boards I added a simple runner and vibrant persimmons, pears and a couple of pomegranates. The persimmons compliment the flower color palette and you can use them later in a recipe! Instead of my go-to wine glasses and copper mugs I like to use for my tablescapes I chose my grandmother’s vintage crystal glasses. They are so beautiful and I know she would love that I used them for the tablescape. They add whimsy and a light, airy feel to the more saturated and rich tones of the tablescape. I added small slices of grapefruit to each glass – such a refreshing twist to drink and looks pretty too!

Votive candles always add that extra glow. I’ve also linked all of my tablescape essentials for you as well (white dishes, napkins, gold silverware & copper napkin rings). Click on the photos below to shop.

Serve olives in little bowls to keep them from rolling off your charcuterie board 🙂

Charcuterie Board Combos:
  • Garlic goat cheese spread, crostini, candied nut mix
  • Mozzarella cheese, salami bites, grape size heirloom tomatoes (can make GF, Keto, Paleo)
  • Cheese infused with cranberries, pear slices or grapes, veggie crackers (vegetarian)
  • Cheddar cheese, mini pretzel bites, tricolor carrot sticks (kid friendly)
