DIY Taylor Swift Lover Album Inspired Valentine’s Day Cards
I’m so excited to share this fun and cute project: DIY Taylor Swift Lover Album Inspired Valentine’s Day Cards. My youngest daughter who is ten and a huge Swiftie recently found the cutest Valentine’s Day cards on Taylor Swift’s website. The only issue – they are $25 for a pack of 4 so we decided to DIY our own Lover album inspired Valentine’s Day cards! We headed to our favorite craft store and found the cutest items so she could make the cards herself!
DIY Taylor Swift Lover Album Inspired Valentine’s Day Cards: Easy + Affordable
This DIY is so easy, fun and affordable! Since we already had the paint brushes (you can grab a set here for under $6) we only had to pay for white cards (set of 24), stickers (2 packs) and a watercolor palette which was on sale and also comes with a paint brush. Total per card: only 50 cents! This is what I imagine Taylor’s face would do if we told her! Hahaha!

DIY Shopping List
- Pearlescent Water Color Palette + Brush (look for one with soft pink, blue & purple colors)
- Small Painting Dishes
- Blank White Cards
- Valentine’s Day or Taylor Swift Inspired Stickers
The key is to find a watercolor palette that has soft pink, purple and blue tones. We found the prettiest pearlescent water color palette and the cutest heart stickers. Pearlescent watercolor paint adds a little shimmer and softness which is so pretty! You can definitely add your own Taylor Swift stickers similar to the ones from her website if you have them – I found a couple of cute options here.
My daughter wanted to keep the pretty pink, blue and purple watercolor paint as the main focus of the card and then placed heart stickers on inside the card. I was searching online for similar white heart embossed cards that we found in the store but was unable to do so sadly! You can check your local craft store or grab blank white cards and they will work just as well! This diy is fun for preschool kiddos to tweens.
We blasted Taylor Swift’s Lover album to get her in the ultimate mood to create these pretty little Valentine’s Day cards. My daughter (who is very artistic and loves to paint and draw) said this was such a fun DIY activity! She used the picture of the Taylor Swift Lover Album Inspired Valentine’s Day cards as her inspiration and then added her own little touches and creativity to the cards. Photos don’t do these cute cards justice! They are even prettier in person!
DIY Tips:
My daughter recommends adding water to blend the colors on the card so it looks more natural and then blot the excess water with a paper towel! When the cards dry, place under a large stack of books on top of the cards to flatten out any crinkles. They turned out so cute and I had to share them with you in case your kiddos want to make them as well and after all this is our place we make the call.
