This post is sponsored by Serena & Lily, all opinions my own.
The holidays are quickly approaching and I’m so excited to share how to prep your guest room for the holidays with Serena & Lily.
Serena & Lily’s quality cannot be beat! They are widely known for their beautiful world class bedding and you can see our master bedroom with Serena & Lily by heading here. We’ve had our bedding for over a year and can’t imagine sleeping on anything else!
Guest Room Holiday Prep with Serena & Lily
Our home now consists of 4 bedrooms thanks to our recent addition. Because our actual guest room functions as an office we get creative with our other bedrooms. So we decided to update the bed in my youngest daughter’s bedroom from a twin to a queen bed. This gives us the opportunity to transform her room to a guest bedroom whenever we need to!
Getting creative with your home is essential for accommodating family and friends for the holidays. And honestly most kids are happy sleeping anywhere and will gladly give up their bed if it means a visit from Grandma and Grandpa!
To transform her bedroom I traded her cute unicorn sheets for beautiful sky blue linen sheets from Serena & Lily. I layered a quilt and duvet on top for warmth and that extra cozy feel. I’ve slept on these cozy sheets and they are so soft! The best part is you don’t have to worry about wrinkles because the linen look has a casual texture!
I moved the bench from our bedroom to our {temporary} guest room. This bench doubles as a spot to get ready, place clothes, and towels.
I know what you are wondering – where do I store all the toys? Well I have the perfect chic + stylish toy storage solution for you! You can see this gorgeous basket has a lid so you can store everything and not look at it – out of sight, out of mind – yay for that!
This duvet with sky blue stitching detail is the most soothing and gorgeous shade of blue! Perfect for layering over a quilt and the blue color provides instant relaxation.
Serena & Lily also has the most beautiful selection of towels – this blush pink color is so pretty! You can fold towels and leave them on the bench at the end of the bed so guests don’t have to worry about finding a towel.
Guest Room Holiday Prep Tips:
- Add fresh flowers + a pretty vase
- Update sheets and pillow inserts (swap out the cute kid sheets for more adult/grown up bedding)
- Add layers of bedding (quilt + duvet) for a luxurious night’s sleep
- Update duvet cover
- Update towels (no one wants a dingy towel – lol!)
- Add a bench to the end of the bed for guests to sit and store items
- Store belongings/toys out of sight in stylish basket with a lid
Don’t forget to add pretty decorative items like a mirror and vase for fresh flowers!
I hope I’ve inspired you to get creative with your home and get your guest room ready for the holidays! Hopefully the items I’ve shared from Serena & Lily and additional tips will help you get your guest room prepped for the holidays.
