Life at Our Kitchen Counter with Serena & Lily

Today I’m so excited to share life at our kitchen counter with Serena & Lily. We spend the majority of our time at our kitchen counter preparing and eating meals, doing homework and chatting about our day when the girls get home from school. This is one of the main reasons why when we renovated our kitchen I couldn’t wait to add a large kitchen peninsula. I envisioned these moments with my girls and I’m grateful that vision became a reality!
As most of you no it’s no secret that we love Serena & Lily. Our recent master bedroom refresh with Serena & Lily last December is one of my favorite rooms in our home. Serena & Lily: Carson Counter Stool
I’ve had my eye on the Carson Stool fromĀ Serena & Lily for awhile and it’s lived up to everything I could imagine. The Carson Stool adds texture, warmth and an organic feel to our kitchen. Dion (my hubby) was won over instantly by the comfort and quality.
I was able to fit 4 of the Carson Counter stools comfortably around our kitchen counter and they move so easily in and out to allow my girls to use them with ease. It was important that I chose something that was family friendly, sturdy, comfortable and stylish and the Carson stool hits on all 3! I love the texture it adds and the black and white detail compliments our kitchen beautifully!
Life at Our Kitchen Counter
Our kitchen counter area gets the majority of use throughout the day. We begin our mornings at the kitchen counter preparing and eating breakfast. We all reunite here after school to share a snack and how our day was… The girls love sharing their work from school and talking about their day. You can always find me standing on the other side ready to serve them and get them what they need – something I love doing for my girls! Sometimes a quick dinner is here instead of at the kitchen table. With this much time spent at our kitchen counter area I knew I wanted a counter stool that would hold up to day to day use while looking stylish.
Functional + Stylish Kitchen Accessories
Since we spend so much time in the kitchen it’s important the accessories we use are functional. This stool helps grab items in our tall pantry and is super useful when baking with my youngest so she can easily reach the counter. This large tray corals items we use daily and these pretty napkins are perfect for entertaining year round. Any crumbs you see on the floor were totally worth it – those cookies were soooo good! lol!

Your kitchen is beautiful! I am also looking at these stools but wondering how many to get. How much counter space do you have for 4? We have a 10ft island and I am wondering whether I can do 5 and actually have 5 people fit in them . Thanks you!
Thank you for your kind words! I would measure based on the dimensions of the stools to see if you can fit 5 of them and taking into account moving in and out of the area – they are such amazing, quality stools, you won’t be disappointed! We love them!
How have these stools stood up to daily use with kids? Iām considering them for our young, sometimes crazy family of 5, and I wonder how kid-proof and husband-proof these are?!
They held up beautifully! They are currently at my parents house and continue to do the same – they get a ton of use from the grandkids! I was so sad we didn’t have a place for them in our new home (they are one of my absolute fav stools) but was so happy and relieved they fit perfectly at my parents house! They wipe down easy, are super sturdy and comfy š
