Nursing Graduates 2020: Virtual Pinning Keynote Speech
I was recently asked by my former students to present as their keynote speaker at their virtual pinning ceremony. What an absolute honor! Truly so touched and so impressed with their creativity in organizing a virtual pinning ceremony over Zoom. Graduating nursing school during a global pandemic is not for the faint of heart!
Heartfelt Speech + Passion for Nursing
I wrote a heartfelt keynote speech for this incredible group of graduates.
As their nursing professor I was really excited to be able to honor them in this joyful milestone. We are all so fortunate to have them as our next generation of nurses.
After a lot of thought and a few revisions to my final speech I definitely felt emotional. I feel so grateful to have a career that gives me the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. Teaching these amazing students makes my job so much fun and so rewarding. My passion for teaching and nursing allows me to truly love what I do. And there is nothing better than that!
Special Wishes
I am extending these special wishes to all of you who follow me here on the blog, IG and other social media outlets. To all the nursing graduates in 2020. If you have a special nursing graduate in your life or maybe a future nursing graduate take a moment to appreciate them and share this post with them.
How beautiful are these flowers my students sent me as a thank you?! All the feels and emotions…
Our nursing graduates today are joining the nursing profession during a time of uncertainty. I am confident they will rise to the challenge and overcome any adversity – because that is what nurses do! Their courage and determination to succeed during a global pandemic is truly a testament to their commitment in becoming nurses.
I couldn’t be more proud and honored to be a part of their nursing journey.
