Today I’m sharing how to accessorize your kitchen for the holidays because after all it’s the most wonderful time of the year! We are only a few short weeks away from Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be here before we know it!Ā  These simple accessories will add warmth and create an inviting vibe to your kitchen just in time for holiday entertaining.

Tip #1: Add Copper Accents

Copper is super in and on trend right now – making a come back from the 70’s. I love the warmth and look of copper. Copper adds a cozy vibe and is the perfect kitchen accessory for the holidays. I found these amazing copper canisters that I can use for a variety of storage items – think tea, flour, pasta, treats, whatever your heart desires! It is all nicely contained and displayed in a pretty way on your counter. I am going digging in my mom’s storage for more of her copper so stay tuned for more ways to add copper while keeping the look fresh and modern.

One of my favorite ways to serve an adult beverage or any fun holiday drink are in my copper mugs. They scream “holidays” and they are a great addition to any kitchen. You can display them in your glass cabinets or on a pretty serving tray. As guests arrive they will be welcomed by a pretty display.

Tip #2: Add a Festive Hand Soap

I love buying a pretty soap to display for the holidays. This one is a favorite of mine for fall and I’ve linked another one for Christmas. It tells your guests that you went the extra mile to give them something pretty with an added perk that it smells just like the holidays!

Tip #3: Add Seasonal Flowers

Using flowers that are in season are the perfect way to accessorize your kitchen. They don’t cost a lot and make a big impact. I chose pink dahlias with eucalyptus and a pine type of greenery. I like to display my vase on a pretty woven placement to add texture. I also like to add succulents to my tiered tray and made a small vase of greenery to display by the sink.

Tip #4: Add Pretty Dishtowels & Aprons

I love a cute dishtowel and apron and your guests will too! I’ve linked my favorites below and you can see a couple in the picture below. You can see how I displayed my apron in my latest kitchen post.

    1. Hi! They are from Ballard Designs & TJMaxx – I’ve linked similar options on my Like to Know It via IG & the blog under kitchen sources! Thanks for stopping by! xo

    2. I am so inspired by this room! The layout is very similar to the one in my new home. Can you tell me about the grey and pink rug in front of the stove?

  1. Where did you get your above the sink window curtain from?! I have been searching for a modern curtain for months!

    1. Hi Melanie! It’s from Smith + Noble and it is a roller shade – I picked out the exact pattern I wanted and it’s so easy to install. They have an amazing selection! Hope you find one you like and thanks for stopping by!

  2. Beautiful kitchen! Just wondering if the Bodbyn cabinets were painted? At ikea they look so off-white which Im worried about but yours look do white! Also did you get the hardware at ikea?

    1. Hi Elisa! We didn’t paint them and I felt the same way about the off-white appearance. However, by pairing them with several white accents – white subway, white/grey quartz, and adding the crown molding painted with white shadow I noticed a big difference. We updated our lighting to LED so it didn’t reflect a yellow tone. Lighting really makes a difference in a home. Hope that helps and thanks for stopping and for your kind words about our kitchen! xo

      1. Thank you so much for sharing these tips with the kitchen as I have had a love-hate relationship with it in IKEA for a couple of weeks trying to plan the kitchen. I adore the style but always when I look at the color in the shop I say, no, I can not have this color. Your kitchen looks absolutely stunning and I would be so proud to achieve something similar.
Do you have any regrets regarding the Ikea quality (how did it age?) or any other tip with buying and installing this kitchen?
I am still drooling looking at the photo šŸ™‚

        Thank you šŸ™‚

        1. Hi! I just completed my 5th IKEA kitchen (the last 2 with Semihandmade door fronts) and now that I have been through the process several times I can confidently say that there are zero regrets – love the quality and price point. Our Semihandmade door fronts were definitely a game changer and highly recommend if you go the IKEA kitchen route. Our kitchens hold up to wear and I love how you can customize everything for a one of a kind look! For an elevated, quality look combine the IKEA boxes with Semihandmade door fronts. You can get the exact color choice with the Semihandmade door fronts too! Hope this helps and thank you for your kind words! Beth

    1. Awe thank you! It’s from Crate & Barrel – I’m not sure if they make it anymore! But I’ll update my kitchen source links to include a few similar options šŸ™‚

    1. They are from Target! I’ve linked them for you in the post – just click on the photo of them or head to the top menu – sources – kitchen sources and they are linked there šŸ™‚

  3. Hi Beth,

I have a weird question for you! How wide is your kitchen? The disposition in outs look a lot like yours and I’ve been thinking about adding an island to it. I’m just worried that it might be too tight.

    Thanks!

  4. Hello šŸ™‚
I wanted to ask you what flooring you would have put in if you were having the floor done with the kitchen.
The engineered wood flooring is beautiful but yet I feel there would be something else what would match better (can not just think what).
    THank you:)
PS: your kitchen in a masterpiece:)

    1. Hi! Thank you for you kind words! I would have done a lighter floor like we have now – I love a warmer, lighter wood with the white but the darker wood also provides a nice contrast – this particular flooring had a lot of red tones which I am not a fan of! I think a darker wood without the red tones would be great too!

  5. Iā€™m just discovering your blog and I love everything about it! Can I ask where your kitchen window shade came from? I NEED that! ā¤ļø
