Master Bedroom Refresh: Upholstered Headboard Update

Neutral Master Bedroom - Master Bedroom Bench - Grey and tan master bedroom - 1111 Light Lane (1 of 1)Yesterday on my Instagram @1111lightlane I gave the new IG Stories a try and revealed a sneak peak of our new beautiful upholstered, linen, tufted headboard from Wayfair. This new upholstered headboard replaces our dark espresso leather headboard we’ve had now for several years. Over the next few weeks I’ll be revealing the details of our master bedroom refresh and this week I’m starting with the new headboard! The ultimate goal for my master bedroom refresh is to create a beautiful and restful retreat. The upholstered headboard was the first item I chose to update for our master bedroom and so it feels appropriate to start here.

You can see the progress we have made from when we purchased our home three years ago. Our home came with dark yellow-toned walls and essentially was a blank slate. Last summer we updated the paint color to a pretty grey and so the transformation began.

Here is a before and after picture with the updated paint, mirror, and new accessories. This was before I moved my desk out of my room.  You can see where I moved my desk in this post.

The headboard arrived neatly packaged from Wayfair and was easy to assemble – thanks to my amazing hubby. The fabric is such a beautiful color and texture. The nail head trim adds sophistication. I chose the headboard option versus the full bed frame for a couple of reasons. I wanted to complete this design within a budget and I wanted to open the space at the foot of the bed. I think either option looks great and you can’t go wrong with either one. I also noticed this week it is on sale – bummer for me but exciting for you if you are looking for a headboard! You can find it here.

Next step is to choose bed linens but first and foremost the bed skirt. Stay tuned for more by subscribing to the blog and following along on my Instagram @1111lightlane.

You can also find my IG Stories by clicking on my Instagram profile picture. I would love to know what types of behind the scenes videos and pictures you’d like to see via this option – let me know by commenting below or emailing me!

Stay tuned for more master bedroom refresh details over the next few weeks!

And as always thank you for stopping by!
