IKEA Home Decor Favorites - Farmhouse style - Modern Farmhouse - 1111 Light Lane

Hi everyone!  Today I’m sharing my IKEA home decor favorite items with you. Who doesn’t love IKEA?! I always find some amazing items to decorate with when I’m there. I am sharing how I incorporate them into my home and how you can to!

Here are my 3 favorite items

IKEA home decor favorites - 1111 Light Lane

Design Tip: Add faux greenery to open shelves for a pop of color!

Rustic Farmhouse Shelves - IKEA faux greenery - Neutral Shelf Decor - 1111 Light Lane (1 of 1)

Mantel decor - Eucalyptus - faux greenery - 1111 Light Lane (1 of 1)IKEA Home Decor Favorites: Faux Greenery

I love IKEA faux greenery. I use these real-looking faux plants and stems throughout my home. They make great accents on shelves, mantels, desk spaces, kitchens, and well just about anywhere! They are a great deal as well at just $5.99!

You can see how I placed them on my dining room shelves and how I incorporated them in my spring loft refresh – you can find that post here. I also recently found these amazing stems that look like eucalyptus and I am loving their natural look.  I added them to my capiz shell vase on our mantel for texture and color.

IKEA white pillows - shiplap - fiddle leaf fig - pottery barn sofa - 1111 Light Lane (1 of 1)

Grey Check Pillow - IKEA Pillow Cover - Grey wash Rattan chair - 111 Light Lane (1 of 1)IKEA Home Decor Favorites: Pillow covers

My next favorite are their pillow covers.  The fabrics are great and the price is awesome – like $7.00 awesome. They have a linen look to them that is very pretty. No more fretting over a spill here or there because you can easily wash them. Best of all if they do for some reason incur a spill that can’t be removed you don’t have to stress about having spent $75 on a pillow cover. This is especially important with little ones in the house and why everything I own can be washed and isn’t super pricey 🙂 My other favorite is the grey check – it’s so versatile!  You can use it just about anywhere – it’s soft and washes so easily! You can see how I used it in my dining room refresh here.

Subway tile - pasta in a jar - IKEA glass canisters - 1111 Light Lane (1 of 1)IKEA Home Decor Favorites: Glass canisters

Glass canisters are amazing for organizing your pantry and look cute on your counters in the kitchen. You can fill them with all sorts of items. Currently mine are filled with different pasta shapes ready to go – I place them near our cooktop for quick and easy access.  There are different sizes and options.  The are easy to clean and are durable.  You can fill them throughout the seasons with different goodies of your choice.

Extra tip: How to get in and get out of IKEA quickly with some awesome items!

Head out early before the crowds hit! I know we’ve all been there on a weekend when it’s super busy and families and kids are falling apart (including mine) and well it doesn’t exactly make for a fun shopping trip. I like to be able to concentrate so I can visualize in my mind where I might use the items to decorate. I have little ones so I’m not suggesting that you can’t head to IKEA with the kids but if you can convince your partner in crime to watch the kiddos one morning while you head off to IKEA for a couple of hours – I would highly recommend it!  It’s so much more enjoyable!

I hope you have found this post helpful! Do you have favorite home decor items at IKEA that are your “go to”? I’d love to hear about them!

Do you see something you like?  I’ll be including all sources soon on the blog…stay tuned!

Until then here are a few for you from this post including some alternatives in case you don’t live near IKEA!
